Multi award winning Photographer, Speaker, Mentor and Educator; William Long is arguably one of Australia’s most reputable, successful and technically diverse professional photographers. In addition to winning numerous national and international professional awards across multiple photographic categories, William has been recognised for his excellence in Photography with Fellowships from the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) and the Royal Photographic Society (RPS). The business of photography, what you shouldn’t miss and what you should.    Being prepared with your cameras is just the beginning, learning how to build the foundations of your business right from the start.  Remembering that life is a balance, how to maintain that balance, how to stay fit for business and fit for life

I’ll be offering help on how to turn your photographic dream into the reality of a long term successful business.  And then how to plan to survive in that business.  Why diversification in order to be unique is essential.
Photo Competitions.  Marketing and raising your profile by identifying the right photographic competitions to enter.  Identifying the do’s and don’ts when entering a competition; and showing you the best approach to gain a win.  How to utilise and publicise your success to your target market.
Copyright and Licensing– an outline as to why it’s important, and what it can do for you, and what mistakes to avoid.   I’ll be explaining the difference between copyright and licensing.
